A Snow Day Plan: A River Ride from Cave in the Rock to Louisville

No work today schools are closed, it's a Snow Day. I'm sitting in my man cave looking at the snow pile up on the ground,  dreaming of motorcycle weather. This is the time I start planning my spring and summer trips. I want to ride another River Road, it is my favorite ride.

I've ridden the Mississippi up to the headwaters, parts of the Missouri River and many other smaller rivers.  This is the next adventure riding the Ohio River along the Kentucky and Indiana border. Riding along a River is one of the most exhilarating and relaxing things a motorcycle rider can do. To feel the energy of the river is intoxicating.  It gives you the feeling of you have found what you are searching for.   I love river towns and the high expectations for life that people that live there have.

The plan is to take all back country roads.  Ride up to the Ohio River and take the ferry to Cave in the Rock.   From here follow the River Road to the river towns of Evansville, Tell City, Leavenworth, Brandenburg, and then finally ending up in Louisville.  This will be a 3 day trip with overnight stays in Tell City and Louisville.  So let's do this when the weather warms up for sure.
